Flying to Dallas

Ready to go see our cousins, aunts, uncle and Daddy! This was Mom's first (and hopefully last) time flying with two kids by herself. Not so much fun! Kira did great and watched a movie, Elise is at a tough flying age...

Bad Luck House

In the words of our pediatrician, "only your kids would have this happen". Poor Elise got the full blown Chicken Pox from the vaccine! We almost had to cancel our trip to Dallas as a result. Luckily her fever broke just in time and all of the blisters were scabbed on the morning we were supposed to leave, so we still went.

Elise's First Ice Cream Cake

Not too sure she likes it...

warming up to it...

pretty sure she needs to get the whole thing in her mouth at once!

Easter Dresses

Showing Grandpa-J her loot

Elise's head is not quite big enoug for the Easter hat that Kira wore at 11 mo's.

Bathing Suits In March!!!

I was hesitant to buy a splash table since we have a sandbox, but we didn't have any better ideas for Elise's present from us. Turns out it pleases all ages of kids. The girls have spent hours playing, and it makes for the perfect activity when it is warm, but not hot enough for the pool. It hit mid 70's today and we even let them get in bathing suits, which made Kira happy beyond belief!

Elise's New Pop Up Play House

Grammy-K and Grandpa-J gave Elise a pop up tent/play house for her birthday. The girls both love it. Kira "camped" in it in their room the first night, and it moves from room to room every day. The living room with their chair, balloons, and any toys they can fit inside with them is their favorite, though.

Cake Time!

As you can see, Elise is a BIG fan of cake. I think Kira took 3 bites of her first cupcake. The only crumbs left over after elise was done were those that were too small to pick up and eat!

Elise's Birthday Party

We had more kids over than ever before. 15 kids under the age of nine, along with their parents, and Elise's grandparents. Even Grandma Marcy, Grandpa Tim, and Uncle Dan flew in for the celebration (it happened to fall on spring break for Dan). The kids had a bunch of fun, though I think eveyone, adults included, went home tired and over-stimulated.
