Chirstmas Morning Continued

Daddy and Elise are still a little tired from Santa presents and breakfast.

Opening presents from Daddy

This totally works on my head, right?

Check out E's dog from Grammy-K and Grandpa-J!

"Do you see how cool this is, Daddy?!" (I just love this picture of them!)

"I can do it myself"

"I don't even need this out of it's package to know what to do!"

Breakfast break

Opening Santa presents makes little girls hungry. Luckily, there was yummy breakfast ready to go when they got hungry.

Santa Came!

Santa brought a doll house for the girls (it was my sisters and mine when we were kids, so no set up besides some glue repair!)

Kira came out and said "Look sister, Santa brought us a gingerbread house!"

"um, this house is empty"

"Check out the bag behind the house!"

"Okay, we're good. This bag is full of good stuff."

"Look! People!"

Hours of fun to be had playing with the doll house. Now that it is relocated to the playroom, it has also become a dinosaur museum, ballroom for dinosaur and princess balls, and a train garage. Kira is really developing a good imagination. I love seeing and hearing the new ideas that come out daily.

Getting Ready For Santa

We should put his cookies right here.

Santa shares, right???

I can't believe he's coming tonight!

No, really, I am so excited!

Okay, I think I'll just sleep right here. I don't want to miss him!

This is the first year that Kira is beginning to get the concept of Santa Claus. She thinks it's pretty awesome. The whole "naughty or nice" concept hasn't quite sunk in, but I am looking forward to holding Santa over her head for good behavior!

Christmas Eve with the Harrison Family

Everyone got PJ's for Christmas and changed into them for the night. It was great fun...

Elise got a giant dog and Kira got a Rapunzel doll. Neither could be happier.

Loves her dog! Sleeps with him every night now.

Similar hair that the two have, right?

Christmas Dresses, um, er, Dress

The girls have ridiculoulsy cute Christmas Dresses that Grammy-K bought them. Unfortunately, Elise was sick with fever and vomiting by Christmas Eve, and wanted no part of wearing her dress. This carried through to Christmas Day. So, here are a few pics of Kira in her dress. I think I will put both girls in their dresses for Valentine's day and take pictures at that time.

Go Broncos

I know they're already eliminated, but this picture is when they were still playing, and Elise looks cute as pie, so here I am publishing it anyway. I guess this might prompt me to be better about updating the blog in a timely manner.

Christmas with the Mills'

Elise loves the big kids!

All 4 watching the Grinch. Max got dressed right after this, we swear!

I'm pretty cute, huh?

Big kids decorating their own cookies

Very few sprinkles were used by either, especially for having free reign of the sprinkle container.

Elise doesn't like to think she isn't one of the "big kids", so she showed us just how "big" she is.

I should probably be really worried about the climbing skills she keeps honing. She's not scared of anything, which scares me!

By the way, yes, those are the same bloomers that she wore last Christmas. They actually fit this year. She seems to have put all of her growth in going up, because the kid still has no butt and is wicked skinny. Good thing she has climbing skills and isn't scared of anything. She is totally oblivious to anyone being bigger or stronger than her.

I'm ready to be a big kid!

Can I please sleep in a big girl bed? Please??? I promise I wont get up a thousand times. No? You really like the cage (crib)? Okay, fine.

Making Cookies!

My innocent appearing little "helpers"

I want a turn!

Don't we work together well?

Of course we'll sit here and be good while you put the cookies in the oven!

Um, you were faster than we thought you might be. Ignore the children on the table...

This was soooo much fun!

Ugliest Ornament Ever....

...thank you, preschool! Not only is this thing giant (those are full sized tongue depressors with a 4x6 photo), it might be the worst picture I have seen of Kira in the recent past. And, she insisted it be placed front and center on the tree. Awesome!

More Stacking By Kira

Like father, like daughter. I am somehow proud that she can do things like this, even if it means I'm refrigerating the entire kitchen.
