The Easter bunny came

And brought hard boiled eggs and a dye kit (can you tell we had sick kids who didn't want to dye eggs prior to Easter?). No egg was colored in only one color. The girls got beads and sunglasses and looked cute.

Elise had an adults only birthday party...

Both girls got sick with croup the night before the planned party. So everyone with kids stayed home so their's didn't get sick. Adults till came. We had cupcakes in ice cream cones. They were yummy. Elise got drums for her birthday. She and Kira are considering starting a band. They do not sound good, but love to practice.

King of the mountain

The girls LOVE the dirt pile at Grammy-K and Grandpa-J's house. When we were leaving, after we had stripped both girls down to underwear/diaper respectively, Grammy-K asked Kira what her favorite room in the house is. Kira asked her to please keep the dirt pile. I asked her to please get rid of it!

It's too loud!

Kira thought construction should be a little quieter than reality. That said, she is excited for Grammy-K and grandpa-J's house to be done.

I mixed up Kira's color organized letters for a little laugh. She did not think it was amusing. I heard about it for days!

Fun at school

I had a helper day at school last week. It was fun to watch Kira in her element. It was "rice week", which meant art with rice, playing with rice, and a big mess. It was great!

Kira got literally every can of cat food out and nearly lost it when I picked it up.

Elise was on everyone as soon as Ben got home to sit down and eat. She then informed us all that we were "all done. Eat cake." She had two pieces!

Girly girl...

Kira has never had an interest in dolls. Elise has taken over Kira's dolls (when she isn't busy collecting rocks like big sister), so a cradle seemed right for her.

She immediately got dolls and sang "rock-a-by". So cute!

Stick Unicorns rule!

Giddy up! E loves Kira's present. She has been jealous of Kira's stick horse once Christmas.

Apparently, the horse and unicorn are already married. It was a quick courtship!

Waiting for Daddy

I think Elise thinks it should be illegal for the whole family not to be home and ready for cake and presents the second she wakes up from her nap. Which just so happens to be the same second she figured out that presents and a cake existed!

Wait a second, I'm pretty sure there's a cake around here...
